elaine's writing projects
Elaine spent many mornings sitting in this room writing a novel based on something that happened in the farmhouse where she lives. In the 1920s, a young white couple took in a black baby for the winter, saving its life, but creating a big flap in rural Union County.

In February 2011, Elaine was honored to apprentice Andreas Zolper, master baker at Gottessegen Anthroposophical Bakery in Dortmund, Germany. Read her educational and fun-filled travelogue here.

For many years, customers have pleaded for a cookbook from the Longbranch Cafe & Bakery. After giving out countless recipes, Elaine is finally making that happen.
